About Diana Palmer

Diana Palmer has served on the Common Council for seven years, representing the 3rd Ward of Glens Falls. Her leadership style is rooted in service, courage, and thoughtful planning, making her a champion for strategic growth and fiscal responsibility. Diana lives in the third ward with her husband Scott and her daughter Sadie. She has been serving the community as a therapist in private practice for the last 10 years. She works with families, individuals, couples, and business partners, and also supervises new clinicians as they prepare for licensure. She is a part-time lecturer at Northeastern University where she has taught public policy courses to doctoral students. When she's not serving the community, she can be found in the bleachers at one of her daughter's basketball, volleyball, or track events, or walking the neighborhood with her husband and her dog, Wabi.

Why I'm Running

I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve Glens Falls and its incredible community. Over the years, I’ve listened to your concerns, walked alongside you, and worked to build a city rooted in the values that unite us. What makes Glens Falls truly special is the spirit of its people—neighbors, workers, and families who shape its character every day.

Your involvement—whether volunteering, sharing ideas, starting businesses, or organizing events—fuels our city. Your input has guided and inspired my work, and it’s that community spirit that makes Glens Falls a place people love to call home.

When I began in public service, my goal was to contribute and ensure our community’s voice was heard. Now, I feel it’s time to step forward and lead in a new way. That’s why I’m announcing my candidacy for Mayor of Glens Falls. I’m committed to leading with integrity, fostering open dialogue, and building a future grounded in collaboration, fiscal responsibility, and sustainability. Leadership is about asking the right questions, engaging in honest debate, and working as a team to create meaningful change. I believe in Glens Falls, its people, and our collective ability to make this city even better. I’m asking for your support, ideas, and participation as we embark on this journey together.
